Whoa.
I just came across a GREAT resource. You might already know about it (and if ya did, why you keep it from me?!). It's a blog and resource for young feminists called the All Girl Army.
In their own words, it's a "A blogger collective of no more than 29 women between the ages of 10 and 23, who identify as feminist chosen via an application process based on their desire to create and nurture women's community, explore feminist issues and their own lives in context via writing and discussion."
And it's goal?
"To increase visibility and self-representation of young women: of their/your lives, ideas, goals, achievements and struggles: to counteract lookism and the media's representation of young women with real voices, unscripted words and real lives."
Right on, ladies!
All I can say is you MUST check it out.....
Feminism is defined as the belief of the political, social, and economic equality of women. It is a discourse that involves various movements, theories and philosophies are concerned with the issue of difference, advocate equality for women, and campaign for women's rights and interests.
