Dude, I cannot express in words how much this pissed me off. No, I mean it really got my goat.
These letters-- M.I.L.F.-- were carved into the lawn at the high school in my neighborhood. And I live in a good neighborhood, yo. (But even if I didn't, this would be just as shocking).
If you've read some of my other posts on this topic, you know that I object to the term MILF and the Yummy Mummy phenom because it basically equates a woman's worth with her eff-a-bility.
Now, I'm a new mom m'self, and OF COURSE I understand the desire to still be considered pretty and sexy and after putting one's body through hell. But I'd like to think that being a mother and being desirable are not mutually exclusive events.
But there's even more of a problem here. This was CARVED INTO A LAWN. (Who does that?) AT A HIGH SCHOOL (By a student?! Right there for all the students to see?!) And not to be all "This signals the end of Western Civilization" on your ass, but come on. What is the world coming to if the pop culture that we live and breathe is so sexist and misogynist and superficial that it oozes messages like this...and some people internalize them, and then spit them back in the form of horticultural graffiti.
It's twisted and infuriating and what I wouldn't have given to have chanced upon the "artist" who did this while out walking my baby. Oh, that would have been a thing to see.
911 Operator Transcript
Caller: [breathless] Help, help!
Operator: Slow down, what's the matter?
Caller: I'm out front of my high school, and I was working on a project for my agronomy class, and there's this crazy woman chasing me, with a stroller.
Operator: What?
Caller: [panting, clearly running] Yes, I was marking a patch of mononucleonic immuno lawn fertilizer and she started to beat me with a diaper bag.
Operator: Mononucleonic Immuno Lawn Fertilizer? You mean MILF?
Caller: Yeah, everyone knows what MILF is, right?
Operator: We have a car on the way, hold on.
Caller: [muffled thud, demonic cackling in the background]

That's really funny...
"Mononucleonic Immuno Lawn Fertilizer"
But um, are there actually people who have managed to avoid the definition of MILF?
Just in case"
Mother I'd Like to F.... (you do the math)

Wow that is really stupid. Why the hell would anyone write 'milf' into a lawn, especially at a high school. That's just kind of random, and just plain dumb.

Not only is that just plain stupid and absolutely pointless...but also the fact that I know girls my age (20) who are pregnant and/or have children and refer to themselves as "milfs". I also understand the desire to be desirable after one's body has gone through some changes, but why would anyone want to talk about themselves like that if they are becoming/already are, someone's MOTHER?

This is a quote from America Ferrera in the Sept 17 US Weekly.
"I do feel like if I wanted to get in better shape, there might be a backlash of, Why isn't she comfortable with herself anymore?"
She's one of the only women I've seen in Hollywood who actually looks like a real, everyday person!

It is weird, a celebrity will be criticized for being heavy, but as soon as they start losing any weight, the public freaks out and assume they are starving themselves.

Yeah, what a terrible phenomenon, that guys might lust after childbearing women. How degrading and misogynist.
Oh, and I'm just shocked, shocked! that high school kids might find it amusing to carve some slightly naughty acronym into the school lawn.
I happen to know that Phyllis Schlafly was informed of this terrible incident, and -- shortly after crapping an entire brick -- literally fainted from the shock of it.
